Management Development Programme

Management is an art that constantly needs to be developed and nurtured. The more it is nurtured, the more adaptable it becomes to change.

The industrial background of PSG and the educational institutions form a symbiotic partnership in learning. Whilst the students of PSG IM garner valuable inputs from regular rendezvous with the industry, Coimbatore's various commercial establishments and manufacturing units gain exposure to the latest management practices through the experienced faculty of PSG IM.

The Management Development Programmes at PSG IM are designed to bring together, entrepreneurs and industries in a common interface. Designed to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship and enterprise, these development programmes are attended by a wide cross section of business people.

The Management Development Programmes generally cover all four aspects of business management, vis-a-vis Marketing, Information Systems, HR and Finance. MDP training is conducted either through in campus seminars or through in house training. Each MDP is tailored to suit the specific requirements of the industries. In addition to the two kinds of programmes, the faculty also undertake outbound training schedules on invitation from other cities. In the preceding year, several MDPs were conducted in cities as far as Kochi, Chennai and Bangalore.

A detailed list of the proposed programmes is sent to various industrial establishments prior to the appointment dates. The programmes are consulted on an interactive note and participants are encouraged to follow updates from the concerned faculty at regular intervals of time.
